My brother-in-law Matt and I got ambitious and hiked to the top of the highest cinder knoll in Hurricane. I haven't been able to track down how many feet this climb is, I just know there were some really, really steep parts of the hike. I'm thankful neither of us had any major ankle rolls.
We started late in the day, about 4:30pm. I got some cool pictures from the top showing a unique view of the Hurricane valley, but my favorite picture didn't have anything to do with our elevation. It was a simple shot taken into the sunset through some branches. See what you think.
